Beautiful scenes as cherry blossoms bloom around the world

The tree, identified as AF242 by the National Park Service, has reliably been blooming a week to ten days before all the other Yoshino Cherry trees around the Tidal Basin area over the years and has helped horticulturists, who also  monitor weather conditions and temperatures, to make peak bloom predictions. Peak bloom this year is expected April 1st.
