“The View” co-host Meghan McCain thinks Gwyneth Paltrow’s part-time living setup with her husband Brad Falchuk is “rich people stuff.”
Could “The View” be in jeopardy of losing another co-host?
Meghan McCain, the 34-year-old daughter of the late Arizona Senator John McCain, is reportedly considering leaving the ABC daytime talk show, according to the Daily Beast and CNN.
McCain feels “so exhausted and defeated,” an anonymous source told Daily Beast, pointing to rising tensions between the co-hosts. In a CNN report, McCain was described as “miserable” on the show, in the words of a senior ABC employee.
The television network, however, dismissed the reports.
“The co-hosts and The View have had an incredible season and we expect them all back for an epic year ahead,” a spokesperson for ABC told USA TODAY Wednesday.

The reports of unrest come as McCain continues to make headlines over her numerous on-air battles with her fellow co-hosts – Abby Huntsman, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin – since joining “The View” in 2017.
McCain hinted at her discontent during a heated exchange with Behar in June, revealing that, “It’s not a fun job for me every day… being the sacrificial Republican.”
“I get that you’re angry that Trump’s president, like a lot of people are, but I don’t think yelling at me is gonna fix the problem,” McCain said to Behar during an argument over one of President Trump’s rally.
USA TODAY reached out to McCain’s rep for comment.
